Barracuda Networks, Inc. has announced Robert Farmer as its new EMEA Channel Manager. The move comes as Barracuda continues its push into the channel in an effort to grow its partner programme and enable its partners to take advantage of Barracuda’s expansive security and storage portfolio.

In his new role, based in the UK, Farmer leads channel development and will work to build on the channel marketing and sales strategies across the EMEA region. Farmer also will work to grow sales of Barracuda products with EMEA partners, and to help them leverage Barracuda’s channel programme to benefit from selling Barracuda’s security and storage offerings.

"Given his experience and proven track record, appointing Rob as Barracuda’s EMEA channel manager is another step forward for Barracuda’s growing channel programme,” said Michael Hughes, SVP of worldwide sales for Barracuda. “We want to help our partners take advantage of Barracuda’s broad solution set and use the available partner tools and resources to drive mutual business growth — we believe Rob is the right person to make this happen in EMEA.”

Prior to joining Barracuda, Farmer served as the EMEA alliance director for Trend Micro where he successfully built a high-performing team that grew the company’s regional business. Farmer also served as the global sales director for OSM Global in Stockholm Sweden, and held various leadership positions with Targus, including EMEA alliance sales director, and UK distribution sales manager.
